Custom Upholstery — Combining Comfort and Charm

Custom Ottomans — Increasing Functionality

When designing a functional space, usability and durability are important to consider. Recently, we designed a space that included a custom-upholstered ottoman. The clients stressed the importance of durability — this piece would be used frequently by both adult guests and children.

To ensure that the ottoman would be both beautiful and functional, we chose a high performance cotton velvet. The piece emphasizes the dominant color in their design concept while serving as a central piece of furniture.

Custom Seating — Creating Memories

The hand of the fabric — or how a fabric feels — is also important to consider when choosing custom upholstery. For these chairs, we aimed to create a lounging area in which the clients and their guests could relax comfortably together while exploring their 400 bottle bourbon collection.

The sculptural nature of the chairs paired perfectly with the smooth, soft leather that we selected. Choosing a neutral color allowed the beautiful oriental rug take center stage.

Custom Pillows — Simple, Mindful Touches

One of our favorite details is custom pillows, which are a great way to make a space feel cohesive. Below, you can see how the pattern on the shade is repeated in the bed pillow. This unifies different design elements within the space, creating a custom and unified look.

In this girl's room, we created a bespoke statement pillow using the pattern of the wallpaper. Repetition is a great way to elevate any design concept from ordinary to one-of-a-kind.
