Carrie Dining Chair, Light Camel from Four Hands

Carrie Dining Chair, Light Camel from Four Hands

This stunning chair is like having your favorite pair of stilettos on display daily! With a lovely mix of modern and contemporary styles, this versatile piece is cozy but adds a bit of drama to your space. And let’s be honest, if drama is going down anywhere in the home, it’s usually around the dining table.

The beautiful iron detailing on the back of the chair is lovely and is sure to catch the eye. The armrests are a thoughtful touch, and the textured fabric offers a light, creamy tint while providing durability and ease of maintenance.

Consider these chairs for your breakfast nook or any room with tall ceilings, as they can certainly hold their own in an expansive space.

No matter the space, make sure to protect your floors with either a durable area rug or by adding rubber or felt pads to the bottom of these sturdy legs.

A Couple of Pro-tips To Keep in Mind

  1. When it comes to wooden chairs, look for pieces with solid back legs from the floor all the way up the back, rather than a break in the wood. It’s a sure sign of quality construction. Also, look for advanced joinery, such as mortise and tenon, rather than a butt joint, which is held together only with glue and clamps.

  2. Keep in mind that you will want pieces crafted with non-toxic finishes and adhesives. Air quality is key to toxin free-living in your home

  3. Clearance is essential for a chair to work in your space. Plan for:

    1. 8-12” from the top of the seat to the bottom of the dining table.

    2. 24” of space behind the chair of a seated diner if you do NOT need circulation behind them. As a general rule of thumb, aim for about 30-36” between the edge of the table and the wall or furniture behind it. If you need room for foot traffic behind the chair, increase that to 48-60”.

    3. 24” of width per chair to provide a comfortable seating arrangement.
