MOTIV Interiors’ Three Principles of Feng Shui — Part 1 of 3 — FLOW
At MOTIV Interiors, we love creating harmonious spaces that center around the practice of feng shui. Feng shui is an ancient Chinese art that involves arranging spaces to create flow, balance, and harmony. There are many benefits to the practice of feng shui, including improved mental health, better sleep, and increased productivity. Read on to learn about the MOTIV Interiors' approach to feng shui aligned design.
In our remote feng shui service, we assess your home through several lenses to maximize flow. First, we conduct a site survey and solar analysis to understand your home's placement. We then look at your home's exterior and the approach to the home to optimize energy flow to your home. Finally, we examine your floor plan, room-to-room transitions, and air and light flow as we fine tune our specific recommendations, all custom-tailored to your space.
To best create a successful feng shui design, we use a brief questionnaire and bagua map (or "energy map") to pinpoint key areas where you would like to make impactful shifts in your life. Essential in feng shui design, bagua maps are energy maps that help determine what specific areas of life or life energy are associated with individual spaces within the home. We marry the use of the bagua map with floorplans to determine how to rearrange each space accordingly.
Here’s what one of our happy clients had to say about our remote feng shui service.
"We have reworked some of the spaces in the living room and little spaces that we used to avoid. Now we are in there all the time. Now I feel like this house that I thought wasn’t going to work now does."
- Beth Ann R.
