MOTIV Interiors was so thrilled to reimagine a Nashville Airbnb as a colorful yet relaxing retreat and a space for guests to unwind and recharge after a long day of exploring Nashville! This Fun & Functional Airbnb is located in the incredibly popular Belmont neighborhood. If location is everything (which it is), this listing, close to Vandy, Hillsboro Village, Green Hills, and more, has it in spades. The Challenge: An Airbnb with a tight turnaround

The key reason for transforming this long-term rental into a short-term one was nurturing the owner's economic sustainability. In a world that increasingly demands multiple streams of income, the owners were excited to be a part of Nashville’s booming tourist industry. That being said, they had a tight turnaround to get the space ready for guests. It was important that we got creative to source local elements so that we didn’t have to wait for shipping while also working with their existing pieces for the design. We had just two short weeks to overhaul the space and hit the ground running.

The MOTIV Approach: A sustainable, durable, and luxurious Airbnb

This project was the perfect convergence of everything MOTIV does well. First, when designing a rental property, ease of maintenance and durability are key. We balanced these factors while also considering the guests’ comfort during their stay and chose design elements that can stand up to the turnover of guests, such as reclaimed solid wood furniture. Next, we set to work outlining a sustainable approach. We took a good look at the existing items, using them to create a concept and floor plan, then filling in the missing pieces. We sourced great finds from vintage shops as well as pre-loved pieces from across the city before finally layering in luxurious items to truly spoil guests. Organic bedding and towels provide a safe and lavish tactile experience.

The Reveal: A unique Nashville Airbnb

After all was said and done, we created a collected look that's true to Nashville’s unique aesthetic and vacation-ready! Focusing on comfort and cleanliness, we know that nothing beats crisp, white sheets and fluffy white towels to pamper guests. As you’ll notice, colorful elements and wood tones in the furniture add warmth to the space, and metal elements bring brightness. Textural elements keep it interesting, and layered pillows provide a luxury experience to this lovely Hillsboro charmer.
