Feng Shui For The Family

Feng shui is incredibly important to our design process at MOTIV—especially when it comes to a family home. When we work with clients as part of our feng shui consultation, we can evaluate the home’s energy flow and give the client a clear plan moving forward. From implementing the bagua map to creating a sense of peace and joy by shifting the energy in your home with the principles of feng shui, you can change how you live in your home and enjoy your space.

Today, I am excited to share one family’s amazing transformation in both their home and family dynamics after a Feng Shui Consultation.

Home That “Wasn’t Working”

When I connected with our clients in Corpus Christi, I soon learned that everyone was stretched quite thin. The husband was tackling a demanding work schedule, and the wife was managing the household and caring for their kids on her own.

At the time, the family was considering moving because they felt as if the house “wasn’t working” for them. The home felt stagnant, and their boys were constantly fighting. Additionally, they wanted to host more but never felt like they could get their space party ready.

Their hopes were to see if better design could lead to less fighting for their boys, and they also wanted to refresh the primary suite to feel more like a relaxing sanctuary. Lastly, they wanted to refresh the space, which meant creating a better energy flow. We needed the space to feel vibrant yet grounded.

A Comprehensive Feng Shui Plan

As we dove into their space, we soon realized there was an imbalance of the masculine and feminine energy in the home. We were able to fix the imbalance by adjusting the window treatments and lighting. (Pro tip: never underestimate the power of lighting in your space.)

We then created a better flow throughout the home by rearranging their existing furniture to allow for ease of entertaining. We also addressed the sibling rivalry by giving each boy their own feng shui aligned room and recommendations to update the spaces as they grow.

Finally, we addressed the primary suite, first by using the bagua map to determine its need for the metal element. We then made recommendations for implementing feng shui and provided a style board to guide our clients on their shopping journey.

We were able to deliver our clients a curated plan that includes…

  1. Numerology report for the house

  2. Bagua map laid over the home’s floor plan for future reference

  3. Top 5 alignment tips for the home and the primary suite

  4. Floor plans by room with detailed styling recommendations

  5. A curated collection just for them with pieces that will work in their home

A Transformed Home & Transformed Family

Immediately after implementing their feng shui plan, the family realized their dream and began hosting more gatherings. Their new space easily allowed the adults to relax together while watching the kids play separately. The boys’ fighting was significantly reduced, and they began sleeping more soundly. And mom is feeling much less stressed and now has time for her passion: writing.

As a result, the family decided NOT to sell the home!

That’s correct! A feng shui consultation fundamentally changed the way they lived in their space so much that they were able to avoid a costly move or buying more furniture in an attempt to “fix” their space. They now feel more connected to one another and with the families in their community.

If you’re battling frustration, clutter, or overwhelm, then it’s time to address the energy flow in your home. So, before you begin looking for a new home and drop thousands of dollars on décor, let’s talk feng shui. Schedule a Connection Call today, and let’s create a home that brings your vision to life.
